Principal's Bio

Principal

My name is Larry Bagley and I am the Principal at Wilson Hall Middle School in Grove Hill, Alabama. I am married to Kay Bagley and we have three grown children, Melissa, Tyler, and Kari. I have worked in both the Jefferson County and Clarke County School Systems. However, for the past 18 years I have worked within the Clarke County System in several different areas. I was very fortunate having played college baseball for 4 years because that paid for my college education. Having worked as a teacher, assistant principal, high school coach, transportation supervisor, and now as a principal, I have been blessed to be working with very talented and caring people in our chosen profession of education. My philosophy is that all children are special and deserve the opportunity to achieve success through education. I truly believe that teaching is, in the long run, one of the most rewarding professions simply because it is what makes all other professions possible. Teachers are responsible for the whole child's well being. Teachers have to be motivators for those who struggle to succeed and facilitators for those who are eager to meet the challenges of tomorrow. At WHMS we have 28 teachers and a total staff of 42 who work hard every day to help our children meet those challenges for their demanding future.
