Bio

My name is Tara Wilson.  I am a special education teacher here at GHES.  I live in Thomasville, where I grew up as a child.  I am married and we have one daughter.  In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors, shopping, painting, and being with my family and friends.

I have taught special education for many years now.  I have taught in all areas of special education and at all grade levels.  I have 7- hours of Autism training and have taught in a behavioral/Autism unit for two years.  I believe ALL students can learn.  I believe in using a variety of methods to allow students to be successful and know that hands on activities and life problems teach more than workshops ever could.  I believe encouragement is a super power and that having a positive classroom creates positive learners!
